Title: Solutions Engineer - SE001

Summary
Knowledge Tranzfer is currently seeking a number of Solution Engineers in support of our customers' implementations of CRM technologies. The Solution Engineer functions as a member of a consulting team and is responsible for understanding the business and technical requirements of the customer in order to engineer the required technical solution . The Solution Engineer's expertise and work efforts focus primarily on the configuration and application development of CRM software products and/or the development of custom software solutions. Duties are often performed at a customer's facilities in partnership with the customer's business and IT personnel.
Responsibilities
- Acquire an in-depth understanding of the respective customer's technology
- Participate in business "blueprinting" following "Best of Breed" business practices and leveraging the standard functionality offered by CRM package software. This includes, performing functionality gap analysis and the creation of technical and functional specifications.
- Assist technical architects with the overall design of the required technical infrastructure.
- Perform installation, configuration and application development of CRM package solutions.
- Perform custom application development and systems integration.
- Author or co-author technical documentation in support of technical
solution(s).
- Assist technical architects with reviews of new and existing solutions to ensure operational integrity and the accomplishment of stated business and technical objectives.
- Perform problem analysis, identify root causes, outline resolution options and take appropriate actions to resolve problems.
- Assist with the development of test cases and plans to verify the successful implementation of technical solutions and their enabling architecture.
- Serve as a creative source of ideas/solutions to address problems to enhance individual, team and customer knowledge of CRM technologies and strategies.
Mandatory Requirements
- Experience with CRM technologies in support of at least two of the following:
- Data Warehousing
- Campaign Management / Marketing Automation / Database marketing
- Analytics / Business Intelligence / Enterprise Reporting
- Sales and Customer Service delivery
- 4 year BS degree in Computer Science, OR equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years as a Solution, Information or System Engineer.
- 2+ years experience with all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- 2+ years experience in the development and deployment of enterprise CRM solutions and enabling technology infrastructure.
- 2+ years performing system integration.
- Experience with programming languages such as Java, .NET, HTML, DHTML, XML, SQL, C++, Visual Basic, C# (Note: May not be mandatory for all roles. Dependent upon the CRM domain - i.e. Operational CRM or Analytical CRM).
- 2+ years experience in the administration, configuration and utilization of relational database solutions (e.g. Oracle, DB2, or SQL Server).
- 1+ years experience deploying and managing application server environments - e.g. Websphere, WebLogic, Apache.
- Proven - and excellent - written and verbal communication and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with diverse population of both technical and non-technical people, and drive / direct / influence positive outcomes.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Visio.
- Lives near a major airport and be available to travel to client sites.
Preferred Requirements
- 1+ years consulting and systems implementation experience.
- 2+ years experience in the deployment of package CRM software (e.g. Epiphany, SSA CRM, Info, Siebel, SAP, Oracle, Salesforce.com, etc.)
- 2+ years experience with data management or Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) strategies and enabling tools/technologies (e.g. Ascential, Mercator, Tibco, WebMethods, etc.).
- 2+ years experience with networking strategies and enabling technologies.
- Experience deploying Computer-Telephony Integration (CTI) solutions in Call and multi-channel Contact Centers.
- Experience withJ2EE or .NET.
- Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and Web Services
